CRITIQUE
The prince's story Edward Vi and of the poor man Tom Canty and'
ambientata in London to the time when Henry VIII Tudor and he reigned
it develops up to the crowning of the new king, his/her child Edward Vi. The
principal characters of the book are Henry VIII, Edward Vi, his
sisters Maria and Elizabeth and finally Tom Canty: him and' a boy
poor that lives in a family of forced poor thing to ask her/it
charity' to be able to live. All these are likely characters
of the epoch.
Edward Vi was a weak and ill boy, that lived and kingdom' under
the guide of uncle Edward Seymor. Contrarily, the family of Tom and'
composed by the very apprehensive mother, from his/her/their grandmother and from his/her/their father that
it didn't do what his/her children to beat, intoxicating himself/herself/itself and cursing of
continuous; there are then his/her sisters named Nan and Bet, while Miles
Hendon and' a great friend of Tom, as well as' good fighter and a lot
skilled with the sword.
In the story Tom, the poor man and Edward, the prince, casually him
they meet and they exchange some information on their life. Thanks
to their similarity they decide to exchange the roles: Tom would be
become king and Edward you/he/she would have made the part of the poor man and so'
it happens. The poor Tom, in the part of the king, and' very to uneasiness, because' him
it finds around always some servants. The true king, finds again instead him in mean,
to the road and you/he/she is abused by different people, among which the father of the
faked king and some mendicant. He meets, however', some people
good, particularly Miles Hendon that it helps him/it to return on the throne.
At the end Tom becomes a great friend of Edward, the true king, while
about the father of Tom is not known more' nothing.
For me this book and' very beautiful, because' it makes to understand the difference among her
life of the rich ones and that of the poor men; besides the history e'avvincente, flood of
adventures and, partly, also of real facts.

RECENSIONE
La vicenda del principe Edoardo VI e del povero Tom Canty e'
ambientata a Londra al tempo in cui regnava Enrico VIII Tudor e si
sviluppa fino all'incoronazione del nuovo re, suo figlio Edoardo VI. I
personaggi principali del libro sono Enrico VIII, Edoardo VI, le sue
sorelle Maria ed Elisabetta ed infine Tom Canty: egli e' un ragazzo
povero che vive in una famiglia di poveracci costretti a chiedere la
carita' per poter vivere. Tutti questi sono personaggi verosimili
dell'epoca.
Edoardo VI era un ragazzo debole e ammalato, che visse e regno' sotto
la guida dello zio Edoardo Seymor. Al contrario, la famiglia di Tom e'
composta dalla madre molto apprensiva, dalla nonna e dal padre che
non faceva che picchiare i figli, ubriacandosi e bestemmiando di
continuo; ci sono poi le sorelle di nome Nan e Bet, mentre Miles
Hendon e' un grande amico di Tom, nonche' bravo lottatore e molto
abile con la spada.
Nel racconto Tom, il povero, ed Edoardo, il principe, casualmente si
incontrano e si scambiano alcune informazioni sulla loro vita. Grazie
alla loro somiglianza decidono di scambiarsi i ruoli: Tom sarebbe
diventato re ed Edoardo avrebbe fatto la parte del povero e cosi'
accade. Il povero Tom, nella parte del re, e' molto a disagio, perche' si
trova sempre dei servi attorno. Il vero re, invece, si ritrova in mezzo
alla strada e viene maltrattato da diverse persone, fra cui il padre del
finto re ed alcuni mendicanti. Egli incontra, pero', alcune persone
buone, in particolare Miles Hendon che lo aiuta a ritornare sul trono.
Alla fine Tom diviene un grande amico di Edoardo, il vero re, mentre
del padre di Tom non si sa piu' nulla.
Per me questo libro e' molto bello, perche' fa capire la differenza tra la
vita dei ricchi e quella dei poveri; inoltre la storia e'avvincente, piena di
avventure e, in parte, anche di fatti reali.
