Ἵνα δὲ ἡ μάχη συνέβη καὶ ἔνθεν ὁρμηθείς ἐπέρασεν τὸν Ὑδάσπην ποταμὸν πόλεις ἔκτισεν Ἀλέξανδρος. ........ Τοσήδε γὰρ σπουδὴ Ἀλεξάνδρῳ ἀμφ' αὐτὸν ἦν.
