Δύο γὰρ ἑτέρους οὐκ ἂν εὑρεθῆναι δοκῶ ῥήτορας ἐκ μὲν ἀδόξων καὶ μικρῶν ἰσχυροὺς καὶ μεγάλους γενομένους, προσκρούσαντας δὲ βασιλεῦσι καὶ τυράννοις,

Ritengo (δοκῶ = δοκέω,) infatti che non si potrebbero trovare (ευρισκω) due altri oratori che da oscuri (nel senso di "non noti)" ed insignificanti (lett. poco efficaci) e che sono diventati grandi, venendo a contrasto (προσκρούω) con re e tiranni.
